Marceline the vampire Queen

We've been watching a lot of Adventure Time recently so I had to make a Marcy statue.

Why is Marcy a queen when her dad is alive?

Just floating with her axe

Commissioned critters

I've made so many personalised little guys for people, and forgotten to take pictures. Penguins holding a variety of different things (including potatoes, flags, a crow, a plant pot, a book of Victorian literature and a bucket and spade) also a bear holding the Emerald logo, a sloth clutching a pizza. You get the picture. Here's a random selection of a few that I snapped pictures of before they went off to their new homes.

Very specifically, a monkey with a synth.

This cat finds his claws keep twanging the guitar strings.

This puppy is looking a bit stressed about the spreadsheet of doom.

"I've got myself into a bit of a situation. Help please?"

A cat holding a fish and leaning comfortably against a little mushroom.

A Firefly penguin, Jayne cradling Vera.

And here's a whole load of love penguins/sloths I made for Ely Pride.

Bear hug!

This bear thinks that love between friends should know no bounds. Bunny agrees in principle but is being very brave.

Cuddles!

Look how peaceful bear looks, with a big armful of friendship

Baby dragon

This baby dragon has her teddy and she's ready for bed.

You can tell she's a baby because her spots are still coming in

And her tail is still short and stubby. Her and teddy are going to go to bed and dream of being great big dragons with swooshy tails!

Dormouse on a poppy

I made a little dormouse on a poppy stem!

She's using her tail to steady herself

Look at those little paws!

An Emerald chicken

I have actually been very busy making things this year despite the lack of posts. I've applied to have a stall at Ely Cathedral Christmas fair, and I won't know if I will be successful until the end of April so I've been making lots of penguins and various other things to potentially sell. I've also been appointed official thing maker to, apparently, every person working at Emerald, including 13 pairs of love penguins for the team I manage, as Christmas presents. I didn't remember to take any pictures, but the love penguins were holding a diverse array of things from dogs, cats, sweetcorns, potatoes, 18th century poetry books and a crow with a broken wing.

Anyway Charlotte, my boss (who had already been given penguins for Christmas) demanded a chicken, more specifically an Emerald penguin. So, to celebrate my one year workiversary at Emerald (4th April) I sent her this little lady.

Her wings can be posed so she looks like she's holding them out to catch everything or she can look like she's holding them up in supplication to heaven. Her wings are a teeny bit larger than I'd actually planned.
