An Emerald chicken

I have actually been very busy making things this year despite the lack of posts. I've applied to have a stall at Ely Cathedral Christmas fair, and I won't know if I will be successful until the end of April so I've been making lots of penguins and various other things to potentially sell. I've also been appointed official thing maker to, apparently, every person working at Emerald, including 13 pairs of love penguins for the team I manage, as Christmas presents. I didn't remember to take any pictures, but the love penguins were holding a diverse array of things from dogs, cats, sweetcorns, potatoes, 18th century poetry books and a crow with a broken wing.

Anyway Charlotte, my boss (who had already been given penguins for Christmas) demanded a chicken, more specifically an Emerald penguin. So, to celebrate my one year workiversary at Emerald (4th April) I sent her this little lady.

Her wings can be posed so she looks like she's holding them out to catch everything or she can look like she's holding them up in supplication to heaven. Her wings are a teeny bit larger than I'd actually planned.
