Keyrings and a giveaway [edited with pictures]

The more observant of you will have noticed a proliferation in my posts of late. I wanted to do a bit of a build up to the one year anniversary, on March 1st. After that, I plan to still make things but to spend a bit longer perfecting them, possibly even doing prototypes before! There are also a few bigger projects that I would like to try that would involve learning new skills.

Anyway, to celebrate one year, I'm going to do a little give away.
Would you like a keyring of your choosing?

Leave a message in the comments field with your idea for a keyring and I will choose one or two that tickle my fancy/I can work out how to make and I will make it for you! I'm happy to post so don't worry if you aren't in Cambridge or the UK.

Get your comments in before the end of Saturday and I will choose my favourite.

Mustache

Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle. No matter what setting I used on my camera it would never pick up all the colours. He is yellow, orange and red.

We're gonna need a bigger stair case.

Despicable Me and a fluffy wampa

A Despicable Me hat, for the father. In retrospect I think the flaps should have been blue to mimic the dungarees but never mind.

Wampa keyring, just because!

I was going to add teeth/blood to his mouth, but I rather liked that it looked more like a mustache than an angry mouth.

Little batty keyring

Hardly seems worth doing a whole post for one little keyring, but he *is* kind of cute, plus I said I would give you a post every day this week.

I had to cut more than 3/4 off the length of the black fur I had, to make sure he wasn't ridiculously hairy, which seemed a shame. Not that it used very much material. On the other hand, for trimming such a small amount of material, it is amazing how much black fluff I ended up with up my nose, down my bra, in my ice cream which was safely in a tub in my freezer, between my toes... you get the picture. Black fluff eats Christmas tree needles for breakfast in the getting-everywhere sense.

A few silly keyrings

Finn's head as it appears in the opening titles to Adventure Time. For such a very quick and simple design it is a shame I didn't get the embroidery on his mouth quite right. Although it looks worse in this zoomed in picture.

 Gunther! He/she rocks.

I had a small amount of left over brown fluff.

A phone case for a metalhead

The good news is the intended recipient liked it, so yey! for me.

The not so awesome news is that I was ever so slightly out with my measurements, so I shall be making another slightly bigger one. Hey ho!

Here's the velcro flap at the back.

And, so as not to leave you on bad news, here, have a little bonus! A different thing for a different Richard. A holy hand grenade inspired keyring fob.

Keyrings

I was going to wait until I had more a collection before showing you these, but I've been sewing all day, I wanted something to put online!

Ice King from Adventure Time. Think his beard grew a bit too long, but nevermind. Now Princesses can get their own back and kidnap Ice King for once!

A susuwatari (soot sprite). In one hand, but not obvious, he is holding a little blue lucky star candy, which he loves. In the other hand, your key (there's a loop at the end of the arm.

Everybody's favourite plucky little robot.

With all of these I packed them really tight with scraps of material, which has given them a nice dense fob-feel to them rather than stuffing.
