Mal doll

If I ever win the lottery and quit my job, I promise to make a life size one. In the meantime, I threw this together quickly (thus the visible stitches) for fun.

NSFW* (there's botties)

*OK - totally safe for work I just wanted to make myself seem edgier.

And because bumflaps make everything better and Nathan's perfect bottom should be on show more, with the bumflap hatch framing it like a beautiful work of art.... sorry. Got distracted there.

There is a reason for the elephant. If you don't know, best not to ask. Let's just say he is the mead waiter.

A birthday cake for the guinea pigs

These are on facebook as well, but hey, I think more websites should have a picture of a guinea pig in a hat on them.

In the category of "things I make" this fits in only the loosest sense of the word, but look - a genuine Poppy-crafted hat. As modelled by Blossom.

I probably could have secured them with elastic under the chin, but as this was a birthday party for them, I thought doing something for my amusement would be a bit unfair.

Here is their birthday cake. Blended broccoli and red pepper, alternated with a layer of blended cucumber and celery, wrapped in a carrot 'icing' and topped with coriander sprinkles. Cucumber candle with a sweet potato flame.
Happy piggies.

Day Nineteen - A metal gift bow

Because nothing says Merry Christmas I love you, like a razor sharp gift bow. Just joking, it isn't sharp edged really.

Tho I am not sure I can see the benefit of having an indestructible bow - if I reuse it every year, am I really doing my bit for the environment? Is there a massive landfill site somewhere full of one-use gift bows??

Trivia: This is another idea from the aluminart book of which I spoke previously.
Materials: one coke can.

Day Thirteen - Greek Woven Football

One for the boys. Beer and football. Football made from beer!

The holes match the pentagons on a football, tho you can't really see that here. In fact, yep, this is pretty crap. Look, go back and look at yesterday's, yesterday was cool. I've spent most of the day with my mind on something else, I'm tired.

Poppy Trivia: I drank the beer.
Materials: Beer.

Day Seven -Bring Rum!

Of course, I do not endorse the drinking of Bacardi, but I thought a pirate symbol may have confused the joke.

I can't draw by the way.

Poppy Trivia: my favourite rum 'cocktail' is Nelson's Blood. Ask for it if you find yourself in the Champion.
Materials: paper, marker pen

Day Six - wall basket

When I first started with the cans I got a lot of my inspirations and ideas of how to use them from a company/book called aluminart. They had some great  ideas. They also spent a lot of their time making absolute trash that no one would ever want. Such as, for example, a frame made of the pull tabs of a can being glued  over a photo. I have made one of their projects today and it is not good. I may well make more from them throughout the month, if I need to. I remain unabashed.

Materials: one coke can, some flowers, for show.
