In the klingon mating ritual he says jIH dok (my blood) and then she says maj dok (our blood) and then presumably clavicles are broken with gay abandon. The weapon at the bottom is a bat'leth. I'm getting all soppy in time for Valentine's day it would seem.
It isn't weird that I have the biggest crush on Worf, is it?

Googly eyes
A couple of little googly eyed things I've been doing between pumpkin carving.
Mini dragon for Lucy, he has shiny wings, made from fantasy film. I don't think I like them as much as the usual ones.
Another one of these for Mike.
And while we are here, random conkers. The one on the left is shouting 'nooooo' with his mouth open. Giggle.

Sock sloth and conkers
I'm getting some silly little projects out of the way before pumpkin season commences.
I've never made a sock monkey before, never felt the need, but I did see someone make a sock sloth and that seemed like something I could get on board with. Asda couldn't furnish me with brown socks, so this a grey sloth. He's not perfect but he seems happy enough hanging there.
Little embroidery hoop to be given away this afternoon. The felted conker is 3D.

Hostile 17 embroidery hoop
Little Spike humour for you. I tried to find a youtube clip of the kitten poker, but failed. Oh well, you either know what I am talking about or you don't.
(The phrase isn't mine, there's a lot of tshirts and things with it written on but I am not sure who came up with it originally.)
It is currently 9.30, by the way, and I am trying to decide to watch the lastest ever Angel episode or something cheery before going to bed. Sigh.
Also, I mentioned I deleted my pictures of the cheshire cat cake I made? Well someone did get some pictures, but after it had been sitting out in the sun and poked and generally got a lot messier. So, these aren't great, but nevermind.
This is why I had to sort out my mini marshmallows into pink and white that time.

Whedon hoops and a teddy bear
Well hello there, I can't believe it has been over 2 weeks since my last post. Did you miss me?
Yesterday at work I suddenly had the biggest hankering to watch Firefly's Objects in Space. Jubal Early gets all the best lines in that episode. So I went home and made this (and watched it, of course). As usual, the colours don't come out very clearly so the writing isn't as legible as in real life.
From above
Bestest buddies.

The little man loved fire.
So, in other news I have been making a teddy bear, although I was underwhelmed with the pattern. This little fella has his tie and collar and is all ready to go to work,

And *finally*, for those who didn't already see it - Spike. I do love Spike.
"I do remember what I said. The promise. To protect her. If I'd done that
... even if I didn't make it, you wouldn't've had to jump. I want you
to know I *did* save you. Not when it counted, of course. But after that.
Every night after that. I'd see it all again, do something different.
Faster or more clever, you know? Dozens of times, lots of different ways
...Every night I save you."
Sob.

Happy elephant
It has been suggested that I am a little niche in my craftings, a little bit too ... nerdy for a lot of people. So, here is something non geeky that I made for my bedroom. It hangs above the stairs where I will meet it at eye level every morning when I get up.
The elephant's ears and nose are 3D!
And after about 13 years of having a stuffed gorilla called Ronnie with no nose (no jokes), I finally got round to fixing him. He also had a nice fur brush as well, so Ronnie is feeling about as dapper as a 15 year old gorilla can feel. Happy Ronnie!

James Baxter! The horse!
From the moment the James Baxter Adventure Time episode aired until this very moment will be a period of time that shall henceforth be known as the period I didn't have a James Baxter embroidery hoop.
Ahh, that crazy horse, always cheering people up.
Oh my glob you guys. I was given 50 metal keyrings, so I guess I should get to it..

Game of Thrones kindle and Buffy embroidery
I don't know why, but I do really love this quote. Pretty much everything that comes out of Oz's mouth is quote worthy actually. I think it is a bit plain, perhaps needs a border, but the hoop is only about 6cm wide anyway, so we're not dealing with loads of space here.
Quite proud of the Buffy font B embroidered at the bottom.
There's some great quotes about books in Game of Thrones, mostly said by Tyrion, which all seem excellent candidates for kindlecoverfication. Here is one such quote/kindle cover combo.

Veronica Mars embroidery
Man, I can't get enough of embroidery hoops at the moment. It is like, I finally worked out how to do them properly and now I can do nothing else. Well, I have one more on the go, which you might see this weekend, but then I do have to focus my attention on hats next week.
I've been wanting to do a Veronica Mars embroidery at least since the Kickstarter thing and last night I found myself with some spare time and a mini embroidery hoop. I'd really like to do a Logan quote (maybe the epic love one? that scene slays me every time) but the hoop was only tiny, so here's a favourite Wallace one liner. Sadly, too small for a unicorn - I wanted to get both bitch and marshmallow, so I used some twee material bought as offcuts for just such an occasion.
Anyway, the quote seemed appropriate, as there have been a few things happening recently that are so squeeworthy, I do have to "be cool", not only the VM Kickstarter.
And to give you an idea of size...

Rolf Harris embroidery hoop
Day six of life without a laptop. Last night was pretty good actually, I whacked on some Keltrix and sat outside embroidering in the sun. The Keltrix was a wise move as I've been ODing on Ella Fitzgerald and Patsy Cline and was starting to feel far too soulsome and jazzfull.
Embroidered Rolf Harris hoop. Just 'cos.
My airing cupboard door is starting to look kinda weird.
Can you tell what it is yet? Possibly the neatest underside I have ever accomplished.

Dr Horrible embroidery hoop
Quick question for you, have you seen Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog? No? Go do so now, it is 42 minutes of pure awesome, I promise you won't regret it. It is free on youtube, here. Go on, I'll wait.
Every super villain who ever aspired to the Evil League of Evil knows this one important piece of information: the wonderflonium must never be bounced. But here's a helpful reminder in case you forget.
The suitcase of wonderflonium that Dr Horrible stole to power his freeze ray.
And, as an aside, if I could draw I would totally draw Jon Snow from Game of Thrones doing battle with Neil Patrick Harris in a park. Made me chuckle anyway.

Guinea pig embroidery hoop
This is hanging above the guinea pig cage, in what was formerly the fireman's pride of place.
They do have little pink noses but they don't really show up on this picture.

Apron, piggies, poo and a hat
I am usually the secretest of all secret Santas, but I suspect the recipient may have had something of an inkling it was me (I told her). So this braai themed apron will surprise no one. Also, I can now pronounce Boerewors.
I have had sooo much fun making this felt, fleece and pompom bristol stool chart. Numbers 1 and 2 are stuffed really tight so they are really firm whereas 5 is all soft and fluffy edged. Number 3 is my favorite.
Happy wampa hat for a baby.
